New Shoshanna!!!

Received a few new dresses from Shoshanna today!!! I love the pleated detail navy dress. Its got a great deep v back, and is a perfect all year round dress! The ruffle shirt neck dress in black cotton is such an easy basic. I have a similar one from DVF from a few years ago that I have worn to death, and I think this one can be my replacement piece! Seriously, you don't even know how much use you can get out of this dress! Also in, is the dolman cap sleeve tee dress in black and cream print detail. Again, another great staple piece for your wardrobe! You can wear this dress day to night depending on how you accessorize! Enjoy!

Introducing MINT!!!

We are so excited here at Sarah Shaw to introduce a new line for us called Mint by Jodi Arnold. We just got in today our first shipment which included two beautiful silk dresses and an adorable tee! The water color belted dress is sooooo stunning! I love all the different colors used in the palette! And the pewter metallic belt that comes with it is so cute I would totally use it for other outfits and not just this dress! The strapless tiered plum dress is like a fairy tale! I cannot wait to see someone try this one on! And the ruffle tee feels so yummy and has a lot of length to it which I LOVE! No need to layer a tank with it! Enjoy!!!

New Autumn Cashmere!

So you know Fall is right around the corner when cashmere turtlenecks start popping up in stores! And yes, I know how gorgeous the weather is right now and how hot its going to be this weekend, but you know that drizzly gloomy weather will be inevitably make its way back! And why not be prepared by getting your new cashmere pieces now before the smart ones snag them up! Two great basics that are a necessity in our San Francisco wardrobes just came in. A great long turtleneck in both black and bankers grey. It has a fantastic ribbing feature on the bottom of the torso and sleeves that give it an extra something. Also in, is the deep cowl neck tunic in evergreen. I love this piece because you can wear it with so many different colors: black, grey, chocolate, etc. Enjoy!!

New Tibi

Here's some more Pre-Fall pieces to get us geared up for the next season! Two tops and a dress from Tibi came in yesterday. I love the cream puff sleeve blouse with the criss cross neckline. Its a great twist to a staple piece!(No pun intended) The aztec print cami is so much fun! Pair it with white for the summer and then wear it with darker separates for the Fall! And the braided black and cream dress is so gorgeous! It reminds me of that Valentino dress Julia Roberts wore to the Oscars oh so many years ago. Very classic piece that will never go out of style! What to look forward to for Holiday 2009!!!

As some of you may know, I was just in LA for our buying trip for the upcoming Holiday Season! And I just wanted to let everyone know what's new and exciting for Holiday!!! First off, the 80's are back in a major way! I know, I know. Not exactly the era that everyone wants to recreate, especially if you were a part of it the first time around, but let me tell you, its going to be quite fun! Neons are the big colors for the season. Whether it be yellow, pink, or orange. You can use them as an accent color with your jewelry or handbags, like Rebecca Minkoff is doing, or go all out with a whole ensemble! I'm actually very excited for this and have already purchased some neon nail polish to rev up for the trend! Also very 80's, the accented and over the top shoulders are back. Elizabeth & James has this AMAZING ivory blazer with accentuated shoulders and a black cummerbund belt that I am going BANANA'S over! (It's going to be a long 4 months until I can see it again!) And Robert Rodriguez was ALL about the shoulders this time around, using puff shoulders for button down blouses, jackets and one shoulder tops and dresses as well.

We also are trying out a new edgier look for the store. Great new price point and some younger lines that we are very excited to introduce to you ladies! Some new ones for us are: ADAM, Rory Beca, Mara Hoffman, Veda leather, and Geren Ford.
